I painted Walt Disney and Mickey on gessoed art paper with monochromatic acrylics, I shaped Walt and his “boss”—bold lines and soft shades that carried the weight of a legendary beginning, a spark that flared into everything my family came to treasure. This painting closed my three-painting series, a tribute to the duo whose parks, films, and quiet magic warmed us like a hearth through the years. The piece held firm and clear, framing Walt seated and Mickey perched on the table beside him, their legacy etched on that paper with a grin for the wonder they kicked off way back when.
