How To Paint Bo Katan In 60 Seconds

How to paint Bo Katan, a 60-minute painting in 60 seconds.

Intro: Hello, everyone, welcome to Brush of Magic. I’m Ronn Stern. Thank you for joining us as we learn to paint the fierce Mandolorian leader from Star Wars time lapsed into a 60-second video.

For this painting I wanted to create a universal warmth because of the fiery location of our heroine. For a color underlay in a traditional painting, an artist will paint with a colored primer as the first color laid down. In a digital painting, the artist does it by placing the color on the base or background layer. As the artist lays down additional paint, the underlayer will influence those additional colors. Bo Katan is a wonderful character from both the Clone Wars and Mandalorian series. In this painting I wanted to show her fighting spirit with the Dark Saber, the legendary weapon of leadership.

Closing: Remember, 10 minutes of painting a day, every day, is the best thing you can do to propel your art. Subscribe to learn more tips on how to paint your favorite characters.
