Hello, everyone, welcome to Brush of Magic. I’m Ronn Stern. Thank you for joining us as we learn to paint one of the most famous droids in the Star Wars universe, C3PO; time lapsed into a 60-second video.

Body: One of the fun things about creating artwork featuring 3PO is his metallic skin. He has been referred to as golden-rod because of the predominant golden color of the metal. However, when painting him, remember he is highly reflective.

As an artist, try to discern what is being reflected in a shiny surface. Light, shadows, and sometimes nearby objects are all present and directly influence the look of any reflective matter. The more an artist’s understands this, the better their art can be.
